Life is better with friends! Are you a newcomer to Saint John? Are you looking to meet new people and find interesting things to do? Saint John Kennebecasis Valley (SJKV) Newcomers' is a club for women of all ages who have moved to the Greater Saint John and Kennebecasis Valley area in the past 2 years. We are a local chapter of a National and International organization that has brought together women from all over the world. We have a small annual fee of $25.00 for general membership or $12.50 for alumni (after two years membership). We meet for coffee, lunch, dinner, bridge, book club, mahjong, moms and tots, and various other events. Get in touch! Come and meet other newcomers' to the Greater Saint John area. Please note that SJKV Newcomers' is a scent free club. We ask for your cooperation and understanding when attending any functions organized by the club.

Coffee Mornings

Join the SJKV Newcomers' club for our fabulous coffee mornings! We meet alternate Friday mornings from 10:ooAM - 12:00PM in a newcomer's home. You can drop in any time for a few minutes or for the entire two hours. Please come and enjoy some laughs, coffee and snacks with other women in your area in a casual atmosphere. Dinner Evenings

The SJKV Newcomers' dinner evenings are a fun way to experience new restaurants in the city. The are specially designed for women who work during the day but any member is welcome to attend our girls night out! We send out the invitations early in the month and then send out a reminder two days before for final confirmation. We hope you will join us for dinner soon! Bridge Club

Ladies Who Lunch

"Ladies Who Lunch" is a way for the SJKV Newcomers' to get together on the fourth Thursday of each month and have lunch at new or favourite restaurants in the area. We send out the invitations early in the month and then send out a reminder two days before for final confirmation. Some of the places we have lunched at include Shadow Lawn, Bourbon Quarter, Thandi's, The Opera Bistro, Alley Gria and Lily Lake Cafe. Mom and Tots

The SJKV Newcomers' "Mom and Tots" group is a great support group for mothers. We meet on a regular basis in a newcomers home. Book Club

The SJKV Newcomers' book club will be meeting the last Wednesday of each month at 7:00PM. It's a great club and everyone is welcome to join! Our book club gives you the opportunity to read new books, motivation to read, hear different opinions, create social ties and try different food and wine! Each month we will read a new book that has been selected by a member and that member will host and provide refreshments to the group. The host will also be responsible to provide a list of questions about the book to be presented to the group for discussion. It's okay if you can't make it to all of the meetings! All you need to do is read the book for the month you can come and let the host know you will be attending after the reminder e-mail has been sent.
